Title:
PRODUCTION OF ANTIVIRAL PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02186988
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform mass-production of an antiviral protein (MAP) using a genetic engineering technique by analyzing the structure of MAP originated from 'four-o'clock (Milabillis jalapa)'.

CONSTITUTION: The structure of an antiviral protein (MAP) extracted and purified from 'four-o'clock' has been analyzed to find the sequence of 250 amino acids as shown in the figure. A DNA coding the amino acid sequence is integrated into pKK233-3 plasmid and E.coli is transformed with the plasmid. MAP can be prepared in a mass by the use of the transformed E.coli.
