Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title copolymer useful for, e.g. a coating material, an ink or an adhesive excellent in processability, water resistance and adhesion by polycondensing a dicarboxylic acid component based on an aromatic dicarboxylic acid with a polyol component comprising a diol and a triol.
CONSTITUTION: A dicarboxylic acid component comprising 80-100mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 20-0mol% dicarboxylic acid other than the above acid is polycondensed with a polyol component comprising 95-99.9mol% diol and 5-0.1mol% triol of the formula therein R is alkylene, and l; m and n are each a natural number to produce a copolyester excellent in processability, water resistance and adhesion and useful for, e.g. a coating material, an ink or an adhesive.
