Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject dispersed material capable of easily controlling its polymerization reaction and sincerely gelatinizing the resultant organic high-molecular compound by subjecting a polymerizable mixture comprising a compound with a polymerizable unsaturated bond, oil- soluble photo-initiator, surface-active agent and water to suspension polymerization under mixing and light irradiation.
SOLUTION: This dispersed material is obtained by subjecting a polymerizable mixture comprising (A) a compound with a polymerizable unsaturated bond, pref., (meta)acrylic acid-based monomer, (B) an oil-soluble photo-initiator (e.g. benzyldimethylketal or methoxyacetophenone), (C) 0.3 to 3 pts.wt. of a surface-active agent (e.g. dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid salts or polyoxyethylene alkyl ether) based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A, and (D) a water to suspension polymerization under mixing and photo-irradiation at pref. 0 to 50°C. The mixing device is exemplified by a mixing blade, disperser and homomixer.
