Abstract:
To provide a process for producing a fiber reinforced metallic structure capable of easily producing a large-sized structure.
This process consists in producing the fiber reinforced metallic structure by a filament winding method. In such a case, at the time of using fibers previously coated with a metal and winding these fibers on a base material, the metal is thermally fused by irradiating the winding point thereof with a laser or metallic powder or metallic foil is supplied to the winding point of the fibers to the base material and is melted under heating by irradiating this point with the laser, by which the metallic powder or the metallic foil is integrated on the base material.
