Title:
PRODUCTION OF FIBER REINFORCED TYPE CU-NB ALLOY CONDUCTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3291010
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a Cu-Nb alloy conductor having high tensile strength and excellent in electric conductivity.
CONSTITUTION: Plastic working is applied to a base material 1 composed of Cu-Nb alloy prepared by dispersing Nb dendrites 3 into the inner part of a Cu or Cu-alloy matrix 2, by which a sheet-like in situ base material 4 where Nb fibers are dispersed and oriented in the inner part of the matrix 2 is formed. Subsequently, Plural sheets of the above in situ base material 4 are prepared, and these sheets are laminated so that respective orientational directions of the Nb fibers in them are allowed to intersects each other, and then, the whole is welded with pressure so as to be formed into a joined body 5 and this joined body is cut off. By this method, A Cu-Nb alloy conductor 6 which contains the multilayered in situ base material 4 improved in strength in the direction where the Nb fibers are oriented and is also improved in tensile strength in plural directions dissimilar in plane direction can be obtained. Moreover, because the matrix is composed of Cu or Cu alloy and the matrix itself is a conductor excellent in electric conductivity, the Cu-Nb alloy conductor 6 excellent in electric conductivity as a whole can be obtained.
