Abstract:

To obtain a highly elastic soft polyurethane foam having excellent durability and mechanical strength by reacting a specific polyoxyalkylene polyol, etc., with a polyisocyanate.

This polyurethane foam is produced by reacting (A) a polyoxyalkylene polyol mixture produced by compounding (i) 100 pts.wt. of a polyoxyalkylene polyol having a hydroxyl value of 10-35mgKOH/g and produced by the addition polymerization of an alkylene oxide to an active hydrogen compound having an average functional group number (f) of 2.5-8 in the presence of a cesium hydroxide catalyst with (ii) 1-20 pts.wt. of a polyoxyalkylene polyol having an (f) value of 3-6, a hydroxyl value of 600-800mgKOH/g and an ethylene oxide content (EO%) of ≥50wt.% in the alkylene oxide added to an active hydrogen compound and (iii) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a polyoxyalkylene polyol having an (f) value of 1.5-6, a hydroxyl value of 50-150mgKOH/g and an EO% of ≥50wt.%, a catalyst, a foaming agent, etc., with (B) a polyisocyanate such as tolylene diisocyanate.
