PURPOSE: To obtain a light-weight cellular concrete coated with an inorganic coating layer having high hardness and weather resistance and durable to cracking and peeling over a long period by applying an inorganic coating layer composed of a cured silicon alkoxide coating material to the surface of a concrete interposing a specific primer coating layer.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a light-weight cellular concrete is coated with a primer coating layer composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of an isocyanate prepolymer (containing ≥2 NCO groups and free from urethane bond), (B) 1-100 pts.wt. of an organic silicon compound (containing ≥1SH group and ≥2 alkoxy groups in the molecule), (C) 5-100 pts.wt. of a plasticizer, (D) 0-100 pts.wt. of a silicone resin modified with an epoxy resin and/or a mixture of epoxy resin and silicone resin and (E) 0.01-30 pts.wt. of an organic Sn compound and/or an organic acid salt of Sn. An inorganic coating layer composed of a cured silicon alkoxide of formula R'nSi(OR")4-n (R' is CH3 or C2H5; R" is 1-4C alkyl; (n) is 0-2) is applied to the surface of the primer layer to obtain the objective coated concrete.
