Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the manufacture of the liquid crystal display element which enables the orienting process in the manufacture process of the liquid crystal display element with simple constitution without using cloth, etc. CONSTITUTION:Substrates 7 and 8 which have orienting film materials formed on their surfaces are prepared, and pressed against each other with a uniform pressure distribution while the orienting films are put one over the other, and the substrate 8 is moved in the pressing state as shown by an arrow. Consequently, the high molecule chains of the orienting film materials on the substrates 7 and 8 are uniformly drawn in the movement direction to uniformly perform the orienting process over the entire surfaces of the substrates 7 and 8.
