To provide a production method of a water-blown polyurethane foam using a specific catalyst and the thus formed foam.
This production method of a water-blown polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of water, a tin salt of a carboxylic acid having 2 to 18 carbon atoms (catalyst 1) and a lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and/or balium salt of a proton acid having at least two acidic hydrogen atoms and having pKa in water of 2 to 10 (catalyst 2), wherein the ratio of catalyst 1:catalyst 2 is 30:70 to 95:5; the amount of catalyst 1 and catalyst 2 respectively is 0.1 to 5% by weight; and before a foaming reaction, catalyst 1 is mixed with a part of an isocyanate-reactive compound and catalyst 2 is mixed with another part of the isocyanate-reactive compound.
