PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition remarkably improved in a heat-resistant creep performance by a method for producing a polyphenylene ether resin excellent in dispersibility.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a resin composition comprising (a) 55-10wt.% of a polyphenylene ether resin, (c) 45-90wt.% of a polypropylene resin, and (b) hydrogenated block copolymers in a total amount of 5-30 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the components (a) and (c). The hydrogenated block copolymers are produced by hydrogenating a block copolymer comprising at least one vinyl aromatic compound polymer block A and at least one conjugated diene compound polymer block B containing the 1,2-vinyl bond or 3,4-vinyl bond of a conjugated diene compound in an amount of 32-55%. Therein, the residual amounts of the components (c) and (b) are additionally added to 5-21 pts.wt. of the melted and kneaded product of the components (a) and (b) and further melted and kneaded.
