The projection screen device is provided with supporting shafts 2, 4 consisting of hollow cylindrical bodies respectively having locking/holding means 5 for locking and holding the ends part of a screen 1 on both the ends of the screen 1 in the winding direction of the screen 1 so that the end part of the screen 1 located on the inside through an aperture part 2K or 4K is not moved to the outside through the aperture part 2K and a pulling means 7 for applying tensile force to the screen 1 by pulling one end of the screen 1 in the horizontal width direction of the screen 1 locked/held by the locking/holding means 5 in both the supporting shafts 2, 4 to the other end in the outside of the horizontal width direction so that the tensile force can be controlled.
