Abstract:
PURPOSE: To previously prevent the pulling-out of a seat belt by installing a torque loading means for loading the winding torque which acts on the casing of an electric motor in the taking-up of a seat belt on a reel and a driving means for operating a clamping means by the operation of the torque loading means.
CONSTITUTION: When a large pulling-out tension is applied on a seat belt 24 in emergency, the top end hook 33c of a pawl 33 is engaged with a ratchet 25, and an emergency locking mechanism is put into a locking state. At the same time, a torque for winding the seat belt 24 on a reel 7 is generated on an electric motor 11. By the reaction force, a clamping arm 22 is shifted in the B direction, and the seat belt 24 is nipping-held by the clamping arm 22 and a clamp receiving piece 23. Since the tension in the pulling-out direction which is applied on the seat belt 24 is loaded, the pulling-out for the seat belt 24 through the winding tightening of the seat belt 24 wound on the reel 7 is prevented beforehand, and the restraining performance for the seat belt 24 is markedly improved.
