PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump having a movable member provided with a central duct, and a diaphragm with an engaging means abutting on the central duct.
SOLUTION: In this pump where the movable member is mounted movably to a support, the movable member is provided with the central duct, the contents to be distributed enters the central duct through at least one opening, the support forms a variable-displacement pump chamber around the central duct in co-operation with the movable member. A diaphragm is held on the support by a holding means, has a center part capable of inserting one end of the central duct, and a valve forming part mounted to partition the pump chamber from the opening of the central duct during a time when a volume of the pump chamber is increased and the contents are sucked in the pump chamber, and is kept abutting on the movable member to be elastically pulled when the movable member is moved to distribute the contents. The pump further comprises a means for minimizing the elongation of the valve forming part of the diaphragm during the movement of the movable member to distribute the contents.
