Title:
ESTIMATION METHOD FOR THICKNESS OF RH TANK BOTTOM REFRACTORY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017145984
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation method for the thickness of RH tank bottom refractory.SOLUTION: This invention applies a method for estimating thickness T of the bottom refractory of an RH tank under application of measured value of mass of a ladle holding molten steel that can be attained through measurement. A RH tank bottom refractory thickness T is estimated by a following equation (α). In the equation (α), T is a thickness (mm) of the RH tank bottom refractory, H is a distance (mm) between the ladle and the RH tank, P is a pressure (torr) in the RH tank, ρis a mercury density (t/mm), ρis a density of molten iron (t/mm), W is a measured value of mass of the ladle holding molten steel (t), Sis an inner sectional area (mm) of the ladle, and h is a distance (mm) between a lower end of an immersing tube installed in the RH tank and an inner surface of steel shell at the bottom of the RH tank, "bottom" as a subscript represents a timing in which the surface of the molten steel in the RH tank is coincided with the upper surface of the RH tank bottom refractory, and "0" as a subscript represents a timing in which the surface of the molten steel in the ladle and the lower end of the immersing tube are coincided to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
