PURPOSE: To improve the probability to obtain the proper AF and the efficiency of automatic tuning function by using an alternate station frequency (AF) data processor to manage AF data while dividing into one AF data in close relation to a frequency during reception and the other AF data not in close relation to said frequency.
CONSTITUTION: An AF data is compared with a frequency during reception and the AF data including the frequency during reception is referred to the AF data in close relation to the frequency during the reception, and the AF data not including the frequency during reception is referred to the AF data not in close relation to the frequency during the reception, and both the AF data are confirmed not to be stored yet, then they are stored distinguishably from each other. When the reception electric field strength during the reception reaches a prescribed level or below, the AF data in close relation to the frequency is sent by an AF data processor 1. Thus, the sweep time such as a phase locked loop (PLL) 4 or the like is eliminated upon the request of the AF, and the sure AF is selected efficiently.
