PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reagent for Ames test for the examination of mutagenicity and an examination method using the reagent.
SOLUTION: The objective reagent for Ames test is produced by laminating and freezing (A) an aqueous solution containing magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium-phosphoric acid buffer solution and glucose 6-phosphate and (B) an aqueous solution containing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH).
