To provide a rear suspension device for an automobile capable of obtaining excellent operation stability by preventing displacement of a turning outer wheel in a toe-out direction while ensuring sufficient riding comfort performance.
The multi-link type rear suspension device for the automobile is provided with side members 19, 20; a suspension cross member B constituted by a front member 17 and a rear member 18; suspension links 6-10 supported by the suspension cross member; a plurality of elastic mounts 40, 42, 44 for mounting the suspension cross member to a vehicle body; and a pair of left and right reinforcement link members 50 for connecting the front cross member and the vehicle body. The reinforcement link members have one end 50a and the other end 50b rockably and pivotally mounted 52, 54 to the front cross member and the vehicle body respectively and are obliquely extended so as to be enlarged toward a front side of the vehicle body in plan view.
