PURPOSE: To make suitable laminate coating possible, by laminating a laminate material on a recording member, and heating the laminate material to be fused to the recording member by signals from a control circuit, and detecting misalignment of the laminate material on the recording member before the fusing so as to control the heating and feeding.
CONSTITUTION: The laminate member 22 that is fed from a cassette 21 is put on the surface of a recording paper 2 on which recording has been done, and they are fed between a pair of rollers 27. The recording paper 2 and the laminate member 22 that have been delivered through pairs of rollers 27, 28, 29 are heated by press rolls 30 containing heaters 31 to be joined so that the recording paper 2 is coated. Outputs from sensors S1WS6 are fed via a data input circuit into a control circuit that controls delivering, etc. of the recording paper 2 and the laminate member 22. Misalignment of the lamination can be detected by the sensors S5, S6 before they are fused. When a misalignment is detected, it is displayed on a display section of an operation section, and the driving of the feeding rollers 28, 29 are stopped.
