Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of the entire copying machine, to make the copying machine small in size and compact and to reduce the cost by decreasing the number of components and to enhance the user-friendliness and the convenience.
SOLUTION: The copying machine is provided with a read side engagement section 8 that is provided to a read head 2 or a read side platen 3, a print side engagement section a provided to a print head 5 or a print side platen 6, an operation section 10 having plural switching positions, and a release cam 11 that is interlocked with the operation section 10, and engaged with either or both the read side engagement section 8 and the print side engagement section 9 corresponding to the changeover position, and displaces either or both the read head 2 and the print head 5 or either or both the read side platen 3 and the print side platen 6 up to release positions Xa, Xb.
