Since a menu display means for displaying pluralities of setting and starting screens carrying out function settings and starting of the controlled apparatus 12 in the dot matrix display part 10 and carrying out settings and starting of functions corresponding to the displayed screens by an operation switch part 11, and a manual display means for displaying the operation method of the remote controller, the functions of the controlled apparatus, or the like in a systematically arranged state in the dot matrix display part 10, are installed, the operation method that one wants to carry out is easily known, and there will be no need for reading the instruction manual.
