Abstract:
To provide a painting apparatus capable of accurately detecting painted-areas in just proportion and painting method for painting apparatuses.SOLUTION: A painting apparatus includes a painting section 40 for painting nails, an imaging section 50 for capturing images of a nail after the nail has been painted by the painting section 40 a plurality of times by changing a direction of illuminating the nail by a light source into mutually different directions, and a painted-area detecting section 815 for generating a composite image by combining a plurality of nail images acquired by a plurality of times of imaging by the imaging section 50 and detecting pictured-areas on which painting is applied to the nail based on the composite image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
