Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, containing a polymer prepared by grafting a compound having a binding group capable of carrying out the grafting and a functional group capable of imparting the adhesion onto a polymer, having hydrogens in the carbon atoms of the main chain and containing fluorine and a filler and having a high strength and heat resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This resin composition is obtained by melt mixing a polymer, having hydrogen atoms bound to carbon atoms in the main chain and containing fluorine [e.g. tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene(perfluorobutyl)ethylene copolymer], a grafting compound having a binding group capable of carrying out the grafting onto the polymer containing fluorine and a functional group capable of imparting the adhesion (e.g. maleic anhydride), a radical former (e.g. dicumyl peroxide), a filler (e.g. glass fiber) and a resin containing fluorine other than the polymer containing fluorine (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer) at a temperature where radicals are formed in a melt molding machine, and grafting the grafting compound onto the polymer containing fluorine.
