Abstract:

To weld a usual resin joint and a resin pipe in a relatively inexpensive manner.

This resin pipe welding apparatus (10) includes support means (11 and 12) for supporting the resin pipe (1) locked with the resin joint (2) and a laser irradiation means (30) for irradiating the locked part of the resin pipe locked with the resin joint with a laser beam to weld the resin joint and the resin pipe. The resin pipe is formed of a resin material having laser beam absorbability while the resin joint is formed of a resin material having laser beam transmittance and at least a part of the inner surface of the resin joint is coated with the resin material having the laser absorbability. Further, the laser irradiation means (30) is preferably constituted so as to be moved in the peripheral and axial directions of the resin pipe.
