Abstract:
To provide a roll for a continuous casting machine wherein wear resistance and crack propagation resistance of a cylindrical sleeve fitted on the outer circumference of a shaft-like arbor are enhanced.
In this roll 10 for the continuous casting machine, the cylindrical sleeve 30 is fitted on the outer circumference of the shaft-like arbor 20. The sleeve contains, by mass, C: 0.01-0.06%, Si: >0% and ≤1.0%, Mn: >0% and ≤1.0%, Ni: 3.5-6.5%, Cr: 11.0-14.0%, Mo: >0% and ≤1.0%, and V: 0.1-0.4%, and the residue consists of Fe and inevitable impurities.
