To arrange a pipe for compressed air such that there is no inconvenience such as twisting or excessive bending during reversal or no danger of interference with other instruments or facilities with respect to a rotary air cylinder and a rotary air chuck using the rotary air cylinder.
In the rotary air cylinder and the rotary air chuck using the same, the rotary air cylinder is attached to a rotating shaft inscribed in a cylindrical housing, the housing is provided with a scramble part with a compressed air system formed on an outer circumference part and a through-hole communicating the scramble part and the outer circumference face of the rotating shaft, and the rotating shaft is provided with a groove formed on the outer circumference face in a circumferential direction and communicated with the through-hole and an internal through-hole communicating the groove with the air cylinder.
