Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent wire from sagging even when a safety cover is pushed more wide open at cutting work or the like so as not to entwine the wire with a tension spring for energizing the safety cover in its closing direction or the like by a method wherein the safety cover is so constituted as to be forcibly opened by proper angle the operation of an operating lever under the condition that the wire is spanned between the operating lever and the safety cover.
CONSTITUTION: An operating lever 6 is rotatingly openably provided on a blade case 2. A first arm 8 is integrally mounted to the pivot shaft 7 of the operating lever and, a second arm 9 is independently rotatably supported on the pivot shaft. On the first arm 8, an engaging piece 8a for integrally rotating the second arm 9 in the opening direction of a safety cover is provided. Further, between the second arm 9 and the safety cover 1, wire 11. is spanned through the opening course of the safety cover and the second arm 9 is so constituted as to be energized by spring in the opening direction of the safety cover 1 by the energizing force, which is weaker than that of a tension spring 4.
