Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saveall pan of a paper machine to recover white water squeezed out from wet paper pressed with a grooved press roll.
SOLUTION: The saveall pan is provided with a guide part A placed opposite to the nip part of the grooved press roll 14 and a pressing means 15 and guiding white water and white water mist scattering at the downstream side of the nip part together with the accompanied air flow of the grooved press roll 14, a cyclone part B having a gyration channel Ba connected to the rear end of the guide part A and separating the mixture of the white water, the white water mist and the accompanying air flow into white water and air, and an exhaustion part Bb connected to the rear end of the gyration channel Ba and exhausting the separated air, and a water-discharging part C connected to the gyration channel Ba under the cyclone part B and discharging the separated white water.
