Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically move and open a screen in the in-plane direction at the time of an earthquake.
SOLUTION: Weight 30 dropping along a vertical frame 4 is connected to an inner screen 5 with a rope 31, supported by a support mechanism 35 so that the weight may not drop, and an extension mechanism 16 is attached to the vertical frame 4 in opposition to a lock rod 13 of a lock 11. At the time of an earthquake the extension mechanism 16 is extended, the lock rod 13 is pushed, unlocked, and the support mechanism 35 does not support the weight. The weight 30 drops and the inner screen 5 is moved and opened in the in-plane direction.
