Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation recovery method which enables mutual separation and recovery of platinum and palladium, as metal particles, from a raw material solution containing platinum ion and palladium ion by a low-energy type (low environmental load type) simple treatment.SOLUTION: A separation recovery method of platinum group metals includes a first bio-reduction step of adding a metal ion reducing bacterium to a first reaction solution containing a raw material solution, a metal ion reducing bacterium and an electron donor to reduce platinum ion and thereby precipitate platinum, a first recovery step of recovering platinum precipitated by the first bio-reduction step, a second bio-reduction step of adding a metal ion reducing bacterium to a second reaction solution after the first recovery step to reduce palladium ion and thereby precipitate palladium, and a second recovery step of recovering palladium precipitated by the second bio-reduction step from the second reaction solution.
