Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize a shift pattern where a fifth shift position and a sixth shift position are opposed to each other as well as to enable it to reduce the extent of weight and cost.
CONSTITUTION: This shift control mechanism is provided with a selective engaging mechanism 6 engaging a sixth shift fork 44 and a sixth lever 36 installed in a sixth shaft 23 only at a time when they are shifted to the six gear speed, and a one-way mechanism 7 being installed in space between the sixth shaft 23 and a second shaft 22 for fifth and reverse use, and selectively engaging the sixth shaft 23, respectively. In addition, a shift head 53 for fifth and sixth use is selectively engaged with the second shaft 22 and the sixth shaft 23. With this constitution, a shift pattern where a fifth shift position and a sixth shift position are opposed to each other is thus realizable. Further, as compared with the conventional mechanism, where fork shafts are arranged in a row, the number of these fork shafts becomes lessened.
