Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship having a ship bottom air circulation tank which reduces the leakage of air from air tanks caused by the inclination of a hull and reduces the lightweight of the hull of a ship bottom.SOLUTION: A ship 1 has a ship bottom air circulation tank 200: comprising plural air tanks 205 which are provided by forming a hollow part 205 in a flat section 202 of a ship bottom 201 and by installing partition walls 206 inside the hollow part and are divided longitudinally and laterally, and an air supply means for supplying and storing air in the air tanks; and designed such that air in the air tanks is accelerated by water streams at the ship bottom and circulates in the air tanks. At front and rear ends of the air tanks, straightening guides 211 having shapes curved downward are provided to eliminate corners. A ratio (D/l) of the depth D to the length l of the air tanks is not smaller than 0.05 and not larger than a ratio (maximum trim/L) of a maximum trim, which is a difference between a forward draft and an after draft at the maximum trim, to the ship length L at the maximum trim.
