Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short position detecting method for a vehicle which can detect the short position of a power supply line easily and accurately and its device and a power supply device for a vehicle which can surely prevent further deterioration of the power supply line by rapidly and accurately stop power supply to the power supply line in which short is detected. SOLUTION: A voltage value VIN of a common power supply line BLO is detected, the voltage value VIN is compared with a first threshold value VFOR and a second threshold value VDEF larger than the first threshold value VFOR, and it is determined that the common power supply line BLO is shorted, when the voltage value VIN is less than the first threshold value VFOR, while it is determined that branch power supply lines BL1 to BLn are shorted when the voltage value VIN is larger than the first threshold value VFOR and less than the second threshold value VDEF.
