PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shuttle transfer device that facilitates the operation line crossing of workers without dividing jig surface plates and can be applied to various forms of workpiece transfer.
SOLUTION: A shuttle beam 2 that is installed above jig surface plates 4 in a manner movable in the vertical (upward and downward) and longitudinal (forward and backward) directions is divided into shuttle main bodies 2a, each being located in each operation process area, and shuttle combining drive parts 2b located in between processes; each shuttle main body 2a and each shuttle combining drive part 2b are placed in a manner movable in the vertical direction independently; the shuttle combining drive part 2b is lifted up from a lower limit position S, below the jig surface plate 4 so as to combine it with the corresponding shuttle main body 2a; the shuttle main body 2a is moved forward or backward with reversible power of a drive motor 13 installed in the shuttle main body 2a so that a workpiece 1 is transferred between processes.
