The silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material has, on a support, a photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent and a binder, wherein an ultraviolet absorber is contained in the photosensitive layer, the photosensitive silver halide grains contain 5-100 mol% silver iodide, and the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material is exposed with laser light having peak intensity at a wavelength of 200-350 nm.
