A snow compressing device is comprised of a traction part and a snow compressing part 2 pulled by the traction part. The snow compressing part 2 is constituted of: a rotary cutting part 3 provided with a rotating shaft horizontally disposed in a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the traction part; a cover body 4 for covering the rotary cutting part 3; a leveling part 6 which is provided behind the rotary cutting part 3 and pushes snow flakes 5 cut by the rotary cutting part 3 and derived rearward from the cover body 4 to a snow surface 1 and levels the snow flakes 5; and a switching part 7 connected to the cover body 4 and for switching whether the snow flakes 5 cut by the rotary cutting part 3 are circulated in the cover body 4 or are derived rearward from the cover body 4.
