Title:
SOIL DISLODGING DEVICE OF SHIELD EXCAVATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3872867
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the water cut-off property of the overlapping parts of screw blades.
SOLUTION: Inside a cylindrical casing 20 communicating the soil taking chamber of a shield excavator to the inside 8 of a shaft behind it, a rotating shaft 23 having a dextrorotatory spiral screw blade 22 and a rotating shaft 25 having levorotatory spiral screw blade 24 are placed parallel to each other with their respective screw blades 22, 24 overlapping each other, and the wall thickness (t) of one screw blade 22 is increased so that it fits into a gap T that is equal to one pitch of the other screw blade 24. Therefore, a gap in the overlapping parts of the screw blades 22, 24 is closed to increase the water cut-off property of the overlapping parts. Therefore, the phenomenon of ejection due to increase of the pressure at a working face can be prevented.
