To provide a solar-cell-integrated gas production device which can generate gas by utilizing electromotive force of a solar cell, and supply electric power to an external circuit by utilizing the solar cell.
This solar-cell-integrated gas production device includes: a photoelectric conversion unit having a light-receiving surface and a rear surface thereof; a first electrolysis electrode provided on the rear surface side of the photoelectric conversion unit, and provided immersibly into an electrolytic solution; a second electrolysis electrode provided on the rear surface side of the photoelectric conversion unit, and provided immersibly into the electrolytic solution; and a switching unit. The first electrolysis electrode and the second electrolysis electrode are so provided as to electrolyze the electrolytic solution by the electromotive force generated upon reception of light by the photoelectric conversion unit to generate a first gas and a second gas respectively, and the switching unit can switch between a circuit for outputting the electromotive force generated upon the reception of light by the photoelectric conversion unit to a first external circuit, and a circuit for outputting the electromotive force generated upon the reception of light by the photoelectric conversion unit to the first electrolysis electrode and the second electrolysis electrode.
