Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stop the flaring light by oblique incident light or inner reflected light for avoiding the transmission of false signals.
CONSTITUTION: Light shielding films 54 are formed on transfer channels 44. The stepped parts about 2-4μm high are formed on a semiconductor substrate 41 by transfer gate electrodes 51 and the light shielding films 54. Next, an underneath flattening layer 55 is formed to flatten these stepped parts and then the first light shielding layer 56, the first transparent film 57, the second flare stopping layer 58, the second transparent film 59, the third flare stopping layer 60 and the third transparent film 61 are successively formed and finally, microlenses 62 are formed on the whole surface.
