PURPOSE: To shut off the infiltrating light from the peripheral parts of spectacles to enable an appreciator to view images of a high contrast by adopting a constitution to provide the parts corresponding to the lenses of the spectacles with light shielding regions capable of shutting off the light from the peripheral regions.
CONSTITUTION: The parts 7a, 7b corresponding to the lenses of the spectacles for appreciation of display image are provided with the light shielding regions 5 on their circumferences. The light shielding regions 5 are so formed that the peripheries of the regions 7a, 7b corresponding to the lenses of the spectacles for appreciation are shut off from light to gradually increase the transmittance of the light toward the central parts. Light-passing regions 6 are formed nearly into a circular shape in nearly the central parts of the regions 7a, 7b corresponding to the lenses. Thereby, the regions where the appreciator wearing the spectacles for appreciation of display images is able to view through the spectacles are limited to the central parts. Namely, the visual field is narrowed. The visual field is properly settable by adjusting the light shielding regions 5 according to the size, etc., of the screen of the display device to be appreciated.
