Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical silver powder having particle diameters equal to those of spherical silver powder produced by the conventional wet reduction method and capable of being fired at a lower temperature, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An aqueous reaction system including silver ions is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, thus, while generating cavitation, a reducing agent-containing solution containing aldehyde as a reducing agent is mixed therein to reduction-precipitate silver particles, and thereafter, the silver particles are solid-liquid separated, cleaned and thereafter dried to produce spherical silver powder having a closed cavity at the inside of each particle.
