Abstract:

To provide a time-based media printing system that enables the printing of time-based media by sharing processing resources.

The time-based media printing system can print time-based media by sharing processing resources on a printer and processing resources on an external media processing system such as an external service, for example, a Web service. A standalone printer has a display and user interface for time-based data embedded in multiple media so that a user can walk up to the printer and perform multimedia processing. The standalone printer has a network connection, so that an external device can interface directly with the printer in performing media processing and that a user can interface with an external service or external device directly through the printer.
