Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide steel for building construction excellent in fouling resistance and corrosion resistance over a relatively short period in an outdoor environment.
SOLUTION: In steel contg., by weight, 0. 005 to 0.1% C, 5 to 25% Cr, 0.1 to 0.5% Ni, ≤0.055% N and ≤0.1% C+N, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, the surface is provided with an oxidized film of 0.5 to 20 μm thickness, and the area ratio of voids in the contact face between the oxidized film and base metal is regulated to ≤10%.
