Title:
STEERING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010188914
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a steering device for a vehicle for minimizing occurrence of a bump steering phenomenon with a simple structure.

A pitman arm 32 connected through a constant velocity joint 30 is rotated when a steering wheel is operated, and a knuckle 14 connected to the pitman arm 32 through a tie-rod 36 is oscillated around a king pin shaft L2 to roll a front wheel W. The constant velocity joint 30 is disposed on an oscillation shaft L1 of a leading arm 11, and a shaft holder 38 supporting an output shaft 34 of the constant velocity joint 30 is integrally jointed to the either of right or left leading arm 11 with a joint member 39, therefore, when the leading arm 11 oscillates in a vertical direction, the pitman arm 32 is integrally oscillated in a vertical direction together with the shaft holder 38. The position relation between the leading arm 11 and the pitman arm 32 is retained constant to prevent the knuckle 14 from being pushed/pulled by the tie-rod 36, thus avoiding the bump steering phenomenon.
