Abstract:
To provide a rack parallel-type steering device equipped with a ball screw device in which tilting of a rolling body is hardly caused when a steering angle of a steering wheel is in a neutral state.SOLUTION: A steering device 10 comprises a turning shaft 20, a ball screw device 40, a motor M and a driving force transmission mechanism 32. A relative position between a housing 11 and the turning shaft 20 in a straight travelling state of a vehicle is defined as a turning neutral position N of the turning shaft. In the turning neutral position N, both end parts 61a and 62a to be connected to a turning path R1, of a deflector passage 61 are formed in a range Ar1 corresponding to a semicircle on an inner circumferential surface of a rolling body nut 21. The range Ar1 is formed to have 90° phases to both sides in a circumferential direction of the inner circumferential surface, with a line L1 of intersection far away from the driving pulley, of lines of intersection through which a virtual plane Q including rotation shaft lines C1 and C2 of a driven pulley 34 and a driving pulley 36 intersect with the rolling body nut as a starting point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
