Abstract:
PURPOSE: To measure steering effort in the right and left direction in a power steering easily at high precision with a simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: The steering effort measuring apparatus 40 is provided with an apparatus main body 42 installed in parallel to a first and a second shaft parts 24a, 24b and a first and a second link mechanisms 44a, 44b of which one ends can be interlocked freely with the end parts of the first and the second shaft parts 24a, 24b, respectively and the apparatus main body 42 has a single measuring mechanism 46 which is interlocked with the other ends of respective first and second link mechanisms 44a, 44b and which detects steering effort separately in both directions in which the steering effort affects first and the second shaft parts 24a, 24b, respectively.
