The strobe light-emitting device comprises a plurality of emission sections having a strobe lamp, a capacitor for the charging power supplied to the strobe lamp, and an emission start means for triggering the discharge to the strobe lamp from the capacitor; a booster circuit for boosting the voltage from an input power supply and applying the boosted voltage to the capacitor; a first means that is connected to the capacitor that one emission section has in the plurality of emission sections for outputting a first signal according to the charged voltage of the capacitor; a second means for comparing the first signal with a specific reference signal for outputting a second signal according to the comparison result; and a switching means for controlling power supply from the input power supply to the boosting circuit section, based on the second signal.
