Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensuere necessary strength while making execution of work easy by a method wherein an upstream-side wall and a downstream-side wall are constructed with sheet piles driven into the ground at a necessary interval, and a space between both of the walls is filled with fluidified earth.
CONSTITUTION: Sheet piles 1 and 2 for constructing respectively an upstream-side wall and a downstream-side wall with a necessary interval kept in between are driven into the ground, and stud members 4 constructed of steel bars or wire ropes with plate members 4a arranged vertically thereto are installed for reinforcement between the sheet piles 1 and 2. A space between the sheet piles 1 and 2 is filled with fluidified filling earth 3, and thereby a checkdam is constructed. The filling earth 3 is made by mixing muddy water with earth to be processed such as effluent earth, excavated earth or dredged earth and by dispersing fineness of grains like clay, silt or bentonite included in the muddy water among coarse grains in the earth to be processed, and uniformity is ensured for the filling with fluidization applied thereto. In the fluidization, solidification agent such as cement or lime is added for reinforcing the strength.
