Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary chamber type gas engine capable of preventing occurrence of knocking caused by local stagnation of flame propagation in a main combustion chamber.SOLUTION: An auxiliary chamber type gas engine includes: a main chamber formation section for forming a main combustion chamber; an auxiliary chamber formation section for forming an auxiliary chamber communicating with the main combustion chamber via at least one nozzle hole; and an ignition device provided in the auxiliary chamber. A torch jet formed by burning auxiliary chamber fuel in the auxiliary chamber is injected to the main combustion chamber via the nozzle hole. In the auxiliary chamber type gas engine, the main chamber formation section includes a piston and a cylinder head. At least either one of the piston or the cylinder head includes: a first inner surface facing a first flame propagation region that is a region including a leading end of a potential core of the torch jet injected from the nozzle hole; and a second inner surface facing a second flame propagation region that is a region formed around the first flame propagation region. The first inner surface has higher heat insulating performance than that of the second inner surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
