Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an image-receiving paper provided with writability while maintaining excellent intermediate tone color reproducibility, by providing a thin releasable layer on the surface of a dyeable layer, in a sublimation-type thermal transfer image-receiving paper.
CONSTITUTION: An image-receiving paper is provided with a porous dyeable layer by applying a solution of a plastic in a solvent on the surface of a base, then passing the coated base through a liquid which dissolves the solvent but does not dissolve the plastic, and drying the body thus treated. The image- receiving paper is provided with excellent writability by providing a thin releasable layer on the surface of the dyeable layer.
