Title:
SULFONATED DIARYLRHODAMINE DYE AS FLUORESCENT LABEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010285625
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide sulfonated diarylrhodamine compounds useful as fluorescent labels of nucleosides, nucleotides, polynucleotides and polypeptides.

The compounds find particular application in the area of fluorescent nucleic acid analysis (e.g., automated DNA sequencing) and fragment analysis, detection of probe hybridization in hybridization arrays, detection of nucleic acid amplification products, and the like. The compounds encompass an energy transfer pigment compound, the compound containing: a donor pigment capable of absorbing light at a first wavelength and emitting excitation energy in response to the absorption; an acceptor pigment capable of absorbing the excitation energy emitted by the donor pigment and emitting fluoresce at a second wavelength in response to the absorption; and a linker for connecting the donor pigment and the acceptor pigment.
